Clark’s Story: Finding Relief for Sensitive Skin
Clark is now 10 months old. He was born with a cleft lip and palate and has already undergone two major surgeries in his first year. From around two months old, he also began to develop eczema, red, sore patches of skin that flared up frequently and caused him a great deal of discomfort.
Clark’s dedicated Mum, “I went to the GP numerous times and he was prescribed a variety of different creams, including topical ones,” says Francine, Clark’s mum. “I would see small changes and think it was working, but then he’d wake up in the morning and his skin would be covered in eczema again.”
The flare-ups were distressing for the family. “He would wake up in pain and was always trying to scratch himself against me. It has been very upsetting,” Francine shares. “Whilst he’s been dealing with these skin issues, he’s also had two major surgeries. The stress and impact of those have again affected the condition of his skin.”
Clark was referred to a dermatologist and a new suggestion was made, the dermatologist recommended the Ecoegg Laundry Egg.
“I had never heard of them before,” says Francine. “I researched them as soon as I got home with Clark and thought they sounded really good and worth a try.”
When the Ecoegg arrived just two days later, Francine washed everything Clark wears — his clothes, bedding, and comforters — using the product. “I chose not to apply his regular creams,” she explains. “For one, I was seeing minimal impact, and two, I was genuinely curious to see if what Clark had been wearing and sleeping on had been upsetting his skin.”
The change was immediate for Francine, Clark and her family
“My gosh, I was blown away. After one night I noticed his skin had majorly calmed down, and after two nights I could barely tell there had been a problem.”
Clark still has some rough patches, but Francine says they are “managed and nowhere near as sore,” and “the patches are smaller.” Importantly, Clark is now more comfortable and settled. “He’s definitely a happier baby and sleeping better.”
Francine has now switched the entire household to Ecoegg. “I have ditched traditional detergents now and only use the Ecoegg Laundry Detergent Egg for the rest of my family. Clark’s sisters love the smell of the Fresh Linen one.”
