Our Story
How it all began
Our founder, Dawn, grew up battling eczema, and through her personal struggles, she discovered just how harsh conventional laundry detergents can be on sensitive skin.
Determined to find a gentler solution, she began formulating a detergent that was free from harsh chemicals and skin
irritants. That’s how our unique detergent pellets were born. But those little pellets needed a sustainable home.
And so, the Laundry Egg came to life. A reusable, refillable egg-shaped case designed to hold the pellets and replace single-use plastic bottles.
Hatching into the new design
2014
Our eggs first proper home was designed by Dawn herself, and was great for us to break into the market. It then had a redesign in 2014. Unrecognisable from its packaging today, you had the tactile experience of seeing and feeling the egg in its true form. HOWEVER, this meant we were printing on lots of cardboard per box which didn’t align with our eco values.
2019
We then introduced the kraft brown box. A major shift from our original packaging. Not only did it give our Laundry Egg a more natural, eco-conscious look, but it also used 56% less cardboard than our previous design.
But if we’re honest, it still felt like it was missing a little something special.
Now
Finally. We have arrived at the revived packaging of our brand new fragrances with a refreshing new look. Staying true to our trademark kraft brown, we’ve added a burst of vibrant colour this time.
